11th Project Sports Meet

Avinashilingam Institute, Department of Physical Education II BPEd's has organised the 11th Project Sports Meet on 30th Nov 2021. Cheif Guest of the Event is 

Mrs.S.S. Manimozhi,  Head Department of Education. Dr.T.Geetha Dean School of Education has felicitated the Athletes.

Events were conducted for both students and staff.

Workshop on First Aid - 108 Ambulance Services

Department of Physical Education has organised First Aid workshop by inviting 108 Ambulance Services on 10th November 2021.

Students of our department were the beneficiaries. The team imparted the knowledge about First Aid and precautionary measures.

Department of Physical Education, Avinashilingam Institute and TNAA jointly organises Two Day  Workshop on State Athletic Technical Training and Examination on 29th and 30th October 2021.

Dr.N.Vasuki, Professor, Department of Education was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Program.

Mr K. Srinivasan, Technical Chairman P.Vigneshwaran,Asst Technical Manager from TNAA, Mr.Guru CDAA, Mr.T.Ganesan CDAA were the resource persons.

Participants from various institutions and our Physical Education students were the beneficiaries. Totally 120 participants actively participated.

Guest Lecture on Combative Sports - Taekwondo 🥋on 26th October 2021

Avinashilingam Institute,Department of Physical Education has organised a guest Lecture on Taekwondo by inviting Dr.S.Premkumar, Secretary, Coimbatore District Taekwondo Association,  Mr.D.Manoj Kumar, Joint Secretary CDTA, National level medalist  in Taekwondo A.Ajay,M.Mohammed Sharukkan, A.Chandra Babu ,A.S Avanthika, R.Aruna, A.R.Rithika from PSG Arts college & PSG Tech. The forenoon session started with a prayer and Head DPE Dr.R.Saravana Prabha has expressed the welcome note. The entire crew has practically oriented our Physical Education students about the importance of martial arts and the skills and  in Taekwondo.  65 students attended the live session and 80 students attended through Google Meet.

*Ms.K.Benildarancy *(19MPPEF001), M.Phil Scholar 2019-2020 Public Viva Voce Examination under the guidance of *Dr.R.Saravana Prabha,* Head Department of Physical Education has been conducted through online by inviting the external examiner  *Dr.M.Srinivasan*, Assistant Professor,Maruthi College of Physical Education, Ramakrishna mission Vivekananda Vidhyalaya, Coimbatore.

All the staff members and Ph.D scholars of the Department of Physical Education participated.

The external examiner was highly satisfied with the scholars presentation and her explanation to the queries raised.  

Students Acheivement - Mary Roselin.M II BPEd secured Winner Up in the game Table Tennis in National Sports Meet 20 -21.

Mary Roselin.M of II BPEd won gold medal in  the game Table Tennis in Nationals Sports Meet 20 - 21 held at Madhura Police Modern school Uttar Pradesh, organized by School Sports and Cultural Activities Federation India from 14th to 16th February 2021.

Match records:

Three qualification rounds played with Haryana Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat and got qualified.

Played pre quarter qualifying rounds with Odisha and Maharashtra team.

Pre quarter - played against Telangana 

Quarters played against New Delhi 

Semifinals played against Punjab and 

Finals played against Uttar Pradesh secured winners position with a gold medal and certificate of merit.
